Admission Guidelines for the School
Year of 2027

  1. Eligibility Criteria for Application

    Our school is recruiting newly admitted students who meet the following application criteria:

    1. Applicants who show understanding of the ethics of Christian education at the school.
    2. Applicants who agree with the school’s educational objectives and three policies.
    3. Newly admitted students must have been born between April 2, 2020, and April 1, 2021.
      (For newly admitted first-grade students of foreign nationality only, applicants born by September 1, 2021, are also eligible.) Children wishing to transfer into the school (current Grades 1–5) and their parents.

  2. Enrollment Capacity

    The maximum number of students par grade shall be 20.

    Our schools may offer online admissions for applicants from abroad.

  4. Application Method

    • Please apply via our internet application system (F-REGI) on the school’s website at https://ps.kluther-gakuin.jp/.
    • Entrance examination fee: 10,000 JPY
    • Once paid, the entrance examination fee is non-refundable.

  5. Entrance Examination

    1. The interviews will be conducted in English to determine the candidate’s ability to listen and speak English.
      Questions and answers for Japanese parents will be given in Japanese or English, and questions and answers for non-Japanese parents will be given in English.
    2. The English proficiency test will be administered in English to assess age-appropriate vocabulary and listening skills.
    3. If you live overseas, please inform us in advance.

  6. Notification of Acceptance

    • The result will be posted on the International School, Primary School Division’s website at https://ps.kluther-gakuin.jp/ for a certain period of time from the date of the announcement.
    • We are unable to provide information regarding the result via phone inquiries or other means.

  7. Enrollment Procedures

    Notification of acceptance and the necessary documents for enrollment will be sent.

    1. Registration fee: 300,000 JPY
    2. Deadline for enrollment and registration fee payment will be stated in the documents.
      If the enrollment procedures are not completed by the payment deadline, it will be considered as declining enrollment.
      (In the event that there is an alternate applicant, the alternate applicant may be moved up in rank.)
    3. Payment method: Bank transfer.

  8. Tuition and Fees

    (1) Tuition fee (annually) 950,000 yen
    (2) Educational enhancement fee (annually) 100,000 yen
    (3) Facility fee (annually) 100,000 yen
    (4) Other expenses （details will be announced on enrollment day for new students）

    Note: In the case of siblings enrolling, 10% discount will be applied to the tuition fee, educational enhancement fee and facility fee from the second child onwards.

  9. Enrollment Day for new students

    Details of enrollment day will be announced later.
    For uniform measurements, we will schedule a date to come to the school before the enrolment day.
